Since January 2022, Jon Edward Pelcin has worked as a DoorDash delivery driver, transporting restaurant meals and grocery orders to customers throughout New York and New Jersey. Previously, he delivered Walmart grocery orders through Roadie, carefully managing deliveries, following customer instructions, and using GPS navigation to locate destinations.
Jon's professional experience also includes customer-facing roles at BJ's Wholesale Club and Walmart. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked at BJ's as a sanitation station attendant, sanitizing shopping carts and assisting customers. At Walmart, he answered questions, helped shoppers locate products, and returned merchandise to the appropriate departments.
A graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, Jon Pelcin demonstrated leadership and inclusivity as captain of the 2021 Unified Basketball Team, which brought together students in general and special education. His contributions and achievements were recognized through three scholarships awarded in June 2021.
Outside of work, he enjoys following professional and college sports, particularly basketball, football, baseball, and hockey. He is also interested in sports statistics, athlete biographies, music trivia, and classic holiday movies.
